Fishing in the fjord

Welcome to one of Norway's most popular fishing areas. The Romsdalsfjord and its adjacent fjords, such as the Langfjord, can be fished from April to October.

Coalfish, skrei, redfish, mackerel, ling, tusk and many other fish species can be caught here in impressive sizes. A boat can be rented locally and should be booked early because demand is very high, especially in summer.

Fishing in rivers and lakes

Salmon can be caught in rivers such as the ddd. The best time of year for this is.

In Herjevatnet, our home lake, you can catch freshwater fish such as trout and perch from the shore or from a boat.

Ice fishing

If the Herjevatnet is frozen in winter and the ice layer is thick enough, you can try your luck at ice fishing armed with an ice drill, fishing rod, folding chair and teapot. In the evening you can enjoy the warmth of the sauna or be enchanted by the Northern Lights in the hot tub.
